Greetings!
My name is Nicole Linton, and I am the Siena Heights Graduate School’s writing tutor. I study Clinical Mental Health Counseling with SHU’s Graduate Program, attending classes on the Lansing campus.

I am a big fan of writing and language, and am available to review papers and assignments for fellow grad students. I believe that everyone is capable of communicating through writing, and that not knowing something is the first step in becoming an expert. I will try to help you build your confidence in your own writing, by making suggestions and giving honest feedback. I expect students to be open to constructive criticism and be responsible for the final product of their efforts.

I can be reached via:
            Email: artsycrafter@gmail.com or nlinton@sienaheights.edu
            Cell: 517-331-4807, texting preferred, anytime

Calls answered between 9:00 am and 3:30 pm
Appointments via phone, Zoom, or Skype can be scheduled anytime Monday-Saturday.

Once I receive a request for review, I will get back to you within 24 hours. As the previous writing assistant required, assistance must be requested within 4 days (minimum) of an assignment being due to guarantee editing suggestions. If you have less than 4 days, I still may be able to assist, as my schedule allows. A rubric from the professor (if available) should be included with any submitted assignment for me to best assist you. Also, being specific about your concerns will help me focus on your needs and more effectively serve our Siena Heights community.

Happy writing!

A little about me: I reside in Lansing, with my partner and 3 kids. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Grand Valley State University in 1999. In 2002, I moved to California, where I first worked with teen sex offenders in a residential treatment center, and then as an events coordinator for a bookstore. However, when I started a family I returned to Michigan and am very happy living here. I am currently in the second year of my CMH Master’s program, and plan to go on to become an LPC. I occasionally substitute teach at Wexford Montessori Academy, but can mostly be found studying or doing “mom stuff.” Please don’t hesitate to contact me with questions. My goal is to be flexible and friendly, without scolding or judgement. Peace.
